Bob: Susan! How's it going?

Susan: Good, Bob. How are you?

Bob: I'm great. Hey, long time, no see!

Susan: You're right, it's been a long time. What, six 1 ?

Bob: That long? Wow. So, what have you been up to?

Susan: Actually, I've been in Vancouver the last few months.

Bob: Really? What were you doing there?

Susan: Well, I was doing some training for my job and I also had a few weeks of holidays so I spent some time backpacking in the 2 just off Vancouver island. It was amazing and I was really lucky because it didn't 3 as much as it usually does there. What about you? What have you been up to?

Bob: Oh, you know, same-old, same-old. I've just been working and 4 . I bought a new car, though. Remember that old truck I used to drive?

Susan: Yeah.

Bob: Well, it broke down a few weeks ago. The mechanics at the auto shop said it'd cost twenty-five hundred dollars to fix so I said, "Forget it." I decided to get a new car 5 . Besides, I was tired of that old gas-guzzler anyway. Now I've got a nice little Honda Civic. It's 6 on gas and it runs great!

Susan: That's wonderful! Good for you! I never really liked that truck of yours anyway. I always figured it would break down sooner or later. I'm just glad I wasn't with you when it did.

Bob: Actually, I was 7 . It broke down a couple of blocks from Canadian Tire so it's not like I had to walk very far to get help. Still cost me fifty bucks for a tow truck, though. Hey, know anyone who wants to buy a 8 truck?

Susan: (laughing) Nope. Sorry. So the Honda Civic is an 9 then?

Bob: Oh yeah. I love it. It's a nice cherry red color and it has an awesome Pioneer stereo in it. It's an 10 so it's easier to drive than the truck. It's got nice leather seats, cruise control, and air conditioning. Plus, my insurance went down. It's costing me three hundred dollars less a year.

Susan: That's great. So what else is new these days? I feel like I haven't seen you 11 .

Bob: Nothing much. Wait. Did you hear about Darcy and Sharon?

Susan: No. What happened?

Bob: They broke up.

Susan: No way, really? Awww, they were a 12 couple. Why would they break up?

Bob: I guess they had a big fight - something to do with him flirting with a girl that he works with. Well, they talked it out but in the end they decided to go their separate ways. It's too bad. You're right. They were great together. I guess it just wasn't 13 to be.

Susan: No, I guess not. I suppose I should give Sharon a call. I'm sure she'll want a shoulder to cry on and I'd like to get caught up on everything that has been going on. She must be really 14 about the break up.

Bob: She is. I know it's been really hard on her. You really should give her a 15 . I've been meaning to call her myself, but I just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. Say hi to her for me, will you?

Susan: Sure. Listen, I'd love to talk more but I've gotta run. I've got a few errands to do this afternoon - some bills to pay, some letters to mail, and then I'm going to have lunch with my sister. Let's go for 16 sometime.

Bob: That'd be great. Don't be a stranger, okay? You've got my 17 right?

Susan: Yup, it's at home.

Bob: Great. Give me a shout next week and maybe we can meet up for that coffee or maybe 18 a movie.

Susan: Sounds great. It's been nice seeing you again. I'll talk to you later.

Bob: You bet. Have a good 19 .
